On July 31st your turned thirty-one
I hope you still consider this fun
'Cuz I have a feeling it's only just begun!

7 years ago in the temple we married
Who knew how much responsibility life carried?

You have two kids now and one on the way
Did you ever picture our life this way?
Truthfully, I wouldn't have it any other way.

A good man like you is hard to find
But I lucked out because God is kind.

You are loved and adored by a feisty wife
Who hopefully doesn't add too much strife
To your crazy schedule and busy life.

Church, Family, and Work demands on your time
Makes us grateful His plan is divine.

You work hard at all required of you.
I appreciate all that you find time to do
and hope to somehow help you through.

You handle all of the pressure so well
No one knows the true stress since you don't tell.

So here's to you, the greatest person I know.
May this eternal marriage never cease to grow
For in life's ups and downs to you I will always go.

Becky that poem ROCKED! You had me laughing while reading it! That was the best "Tribute to a husband blog" I have ever read. I can't believe you guys have been married 7 years. WOW! Time does fly!

My First Marathon

The famous North Shore Waikiki Sunset Gorgeous Day at the Beach in Waikiki Many people have asked about the marathon and I cannot do it justice with just a summary. If you want to hear, "It was rough but went well" then feel free to skip the long narration that follows. Hawaii was amazing. I needed the break and truly appreciate the opportunity. I have said in previous posts that I know the Lord guided me to this path and despite the many challenges, I am grateful. The week before the marathon I did an 8 mile run which ended badly with excruciating pain in my left knee down to my ankle and foot. I limped home very worried and decided not to run until the marathon. I went to the chiropractor Wednesday night and she told me I needed to take three weeks off for my leg to recover. New Family Pics

I don't have much to report. We had family pictures a few weeks ago. We met a woman who needed computer repair so we were able to trade the full cost of her skills with Scott's mad computer skills. What a blessing! I love how they turned out. I am so blessed to have such a great family. We are all doing well. Here is a brief update: *Scott is trying to survive the load at work. He has worked three unplanned overnighters in the last six weeks. He would work 18 hours after sleeping only 3, then head back to work the next morning. He is also swamped with his calling and being a wonderful husband and father. I am so grateful he is a hard worker with great integrity. *Bailey is doing well at school. We just love her teacher this year. She is doing great at math and enjoying piano. She is growing up so quickly it hurts sometimes. *Myles is having a hard time at school. Last week he spit at an aide and called her, "Stupid head!" If you know Myles, this is not like him at all...

Bailey was such a great helper while Scott was gone this weekend Landon wasn't feeling good and I took advantage of him letting me hold him Such a great visit with Arycca The three amigos while B was at school Bailey would love a sister after this visit! I missed posting in January. I actually didn't miss it at all; I didn't even think about it. I have been trying some new things out and am limiting my time online. I am also making dinner every night thanks to e-mealz.com; I love knowing what I am going to cook each night and knowing that I have all the necessary ingredients. Why did I rebel against planning and organization for so long? Our food bill has gone down and we're eating healthier as well. I have been trying to eat less -the whole concept of slowing down and enjoying your food actually works.
