San Francisco - Day 1

A few months ago we decided that it was time to celebrate our 10-year-anniversary with a getaway. We hadn't been away from the kids since Bailey was two and Peggy generously watched the three munchkins for us. We celebrated a little early due to school schedules and my starting a preschool. We had four great days together and I miss it already!
We left early Tuesday morning and arrived in San Francisco about noon. After dropping off our luggage at our quaint Inn at Union Square, we ate some delicious Indian food. Scott used his Yelp app the entire time we were there to find the best food within our price range. We walked around Union Square quite a bit that day. The weather was perfect; I think it hit 70. We found Yerba Gardens, which was beautiful. We had to find the Apple store so Scott could play with the Ipad 2, which he covets. We enjoyed seeing the enormous shops and hearing the cable cars buzz through.
We also walked to Chinatown and searched through the many stores for potential souvenirs for the kids. We walked all afternoon and evening. The architecture is amazing. The city is so alive and diverse. We had a great time being tourists. We ate some good Mexican food that evening and then planned what we would do the next day. The Inn we were staying at had some nice touches; they put chocolates on our pillows and had cookies at 8pm. We were told the breakfast in the mornings was a great spread. For the wine lovers there was a nightly wine and appetizer bar. We met so many people from all over the world.
